Code Plugs

Now before we get to far I strongly advocate building your own code plugs. If you're going to be using these radios you should fully understand how they work and what is happening when you hit the PTT. That being said, I'll post some simple codeplugs for the radios I have. The goal is to make a starting point so you can see what needs to be done to build a working code plug.

Please make sure you use the appropriate CPS for the file and have the matching firmware in your radio.

Codeplugs include:
  • Simplex Hotspot Channels
  • Duplex Hotspot Channels
  • Generic analog repeater channel for reference
  • Several digital simplex channels
  • US weather channels(receive only)
  • Additional digital contacts for later use
  • Receive groups
  • Multiple zones

Instructions:

  1. Open the CPS application
  2. Open the codeplug file in the CPS
  3. Change the callsign
  4. Change the radio id
  5. Edit channels to match your frequencies
  6. Save the file (optional)
  7. Write to radio
